EFMD (The European Foundation For Management Development): What Is the EFMD?
Based in Brussels, Belgium, the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an omnibus agency that supports online MBA degree programs, representing public and private business schools and corporate management training programs. Its more than 650 member institutions share information, research, and networking opportunities in academia, consulting, and public service. In order for online MBA degree programs to gain membership, they must meet strict EFMD criteria.
Following the discovery of the need to connect the best MBA students with hiring corporations and agencies in 1997, the EFMD built a structure of evolving conferences, forums, publications and knowledge transfer, international project coordination, and services. The EFMD also oversees the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), an international system of quality assessment, accredited higher-education review, and a platform for learning environments in more than thirty-three countries. Its projects have linked students of online MBA degree programs with business professionals in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia, and Central America.
MBA Online
Two-year, Full-time MBA
Two-year programs are usually four semesters, spread over two academic years, with a three- or four-month break for an internship.
One-year, Full time MBA
One-year programs are dramatically different from their two-year counterparts. They usually have very strict prerequisites for either work background or academic training.
Part-Time mba programs
Part-time MBA programs are designed for working professionals. Most part-time MBAs work full-time during the day and attend classes in the evening.
